Friday and Monday Classes

Friday, October 22, 2010 (ODD DAY) & Monday, October 25, 2010 (EVEN DAY)

7th Grade Classes:

You guys will be working with the website cooltext.com. You should create one logo text (the name of your company) for your website homepage and three buttons. One button for “About Us”, one for “Contact Us”, and one final button for “F.A.Q.”. Each button should be identical (i.e. font style, color, shape, etc.). If you finish early you can catch up on something that you did not complete (business card, logo, homework assignments, etc.) If you finish with everything, you can use the website sumo paint to play around.

8th Grade Classes:

Today you will be creating a new blog entry on Kid Blog.  Your entry should be set up the same as our first entry. This means that you should include a title, content (i.e. information about a topic), at least one image, a photo credit, and three links to other information, websites, etc. One of those links should be to another blog that covers similar information to your entry. This can count as one of the three links that need to be included. If you finish early you can find and include a video in your blog entry. If you finish everything you can look for and subscribe to new blogs that you find interesting.

6th Grade Classes:

 Today in class you will be working on a new excel assignment. The assignment details can be found here.  You will need to follow the directions included in that document to complete the activity. A finished excel sheet can be found here. This assignment will be done individually and should take two class periods to complete. If you finish early you can go onto the class website and play the dance mat typing game
