Wednesday, March 2nd (Even Day)

6th:  Today in class I am going to give you time to get all of your notes together into Microsoft Word and also start to write your paragraphs for the assignment.  To get started today, Mr. T will be coming around to check your homework and make sure that you finished up your notes for today's class.  While he is making his way around the room you should be putting your notes into four paragraphs.  If you don't remember what those paragraphs should be about, refer back to teh MS Word Assignment Part 1 below.  If you are finished with your notes and your paragraphs, you can check out the MS Word Video Playlist that I created on YouTube.  You can also check out a completed biography page to see what your document will look like when you are finished.  If you do not finish your paragraphs in class today, you will need to complete them at home for homework.

7th:   Today in class you will need to do the following:
  • Save your logo into the in bin (Even TB 1 or Even TB 2) Make sure that save it as a JPG file and that you include the letter .jpg at the end of the file name.  For example...my logo would be called Oberdick.jpg
  •  Once your logo has been saved into the in bin, you should open up some of the logos that were saved by your classmates and take a look.  You can also go into the Odd class time blocks and look at some of those logos as well.
  • With ten minutes left you should take a look at the business card assignment which we will be starting on Friday.
  • With about five minutes left you should take a look at the video on using layers in SumoPaint.

8th:  Today in class you will get an opportunity to see what the other people in class are blogging about for their first assignment but you first have to make sure that your entry is complete according the rubric.  Looking ahead, we will be discussing comment etiquette on Friday and making our first comments in class.

So today you should:
  1. Check your blog against the rubric and make sure that it is complete and ready to be graded
  2. Read some of the other published blogs on KidBlog
  3. If you would like you can also start writing your second blog entry
