5/4/11

Wednesday, May 4th (Even Day)

6th:   Today in class we will be finishing up the PPT questions and answers and moving onto the creation of the game board.  If you want to try to create the board yourself without watching the videos...go for it!  If you need some help, check out the following tutorials:

Creating Category Boxes for Game Board
Creating Point Value Boxes for Game Board
Creating Hyperlinks to Question Slides

7th:   Today in class we will be learning about html tables.
Those who haven't finished the second HTML assignment should have that completed by the end of class today and I will be walking around to record a grade in my book.  If you need help check out the code for my completed page.

After you finish the second HTML assignment, you should use Cool Text's website to create four web buttons that will become links to your other pages.  The buttons should be called "About Us", "Contact Us", and "Products".  You will also need to create a button for "Home" so that we can put that on the other pages of your site to allow visitors to return back home.  All of these buttons should look exactly the same except for the words!!!

8th:   At this point, you should have the following for your digital story:
  • Images for your story saved to your W drive
  • A completed storyboard with narration
  • Music for your story saved to your W drive
  • Image slides created with PowerPoint for your story
If you are still working in PowerPoint and you need a refresher on how to save your slides as pictures check out this short tutorial.

If you are finished with PowerPoint and are ready to start working PhotoStory you should check out one of the tutorials.  You can watch a video or read through a walkthrough.

Remember that your stories need to be between 3 to 5 minutes which means you will need between 18 to 30 slides in PhotoStory.
