Monday

Welcome to computers! This website is where you will start your journey each day when you come into class. As you can see, I'm not in school today but I will be back tomorrow and there are a few things that I would like you to do to prepare.

6th:

  1. Set this website as your homepage. To do this click on the word tools at the top of your screen. Next, click on internet options. Lastly, click on use current and then click ok. Now when you open up the internet everyday this website will come up.
  2. The next thing you need to do is put the shortcuts that we are going to be using in class on your desktop (the screen you see when you log in). Here's how to do it: click here and then drag each of the pictures onto your desktop.
  3. Click here. Drag the 6th Grade Technology Notebook onto your desktop. Double-click the technology notebook to open it up. Take a look at how it is set-up. We are going to be entering a new word into this notebook everyday. At the end of each week we are going to have a vocabulary quiz on these words. Today's word is: desktop. The definition is the main screen in Windows where you can put pictures that act as shortcuts to various programs and files.
  4. If there is still time left today look around this site. You can even scroll down to see what other classes have done.
