6th: Before we get started with anything we are going to take a short quiz about some of the things that we have talked about this week. After we finish the quiz, we are going to set up our technology notebook using the following sites. The first word that we are going to enter is technology.
7th: Great discussion yesterday! I was very impressed with how mature some of your thinking was regarding some very tricky situations. Today we are going to start class with a quick five question quiz. When finished, you can use any extra time to read articles on the web. When everyone is done we will continue with our discussion of copyright and continue on to David Pogue's "The Generational Divide in Copyright Morality". If you brought in your packet signed please put it into the bin on the back table.
8th: Good job with the webs yesterday in class. One thing that I picked up on was that some of you are giving up to easily when you're looking for the information. You cannot wait for knowledge to come to you, you have to obtain it. To start today we are going to take a short five question quiz. Follow the directions closely and you will do fine. After the quiz, we are going to check out some of the websites that were made by students here at SMS as well as some sites which were put together by students from another school. Ultimately, our goal today is to determine what makes one website better than another. If you brought back the packet I gave you yesterday please put it into the bin on the back table for five points on today's quiz.

Thursday
6th: First we are going to finish up the survey questions that we started yesterday at the end of class. When finished we will save those questions to the folder for classwork. For the rest of class we will begin our technology notebook. I will show you which sites you will use as well as how you are going to put a definition into your notebook. Don't forget to bring in your class rules and procedures packet signed by you and your parent by tomorrow.
7th: To start class today we are going to finish the internet safety questions we started at the end of yesterday's time block. After we go over the answers we are going to discuss what copyright means and read an article titled "The Generational Divide in Copyright Morality" written by David Pogue of the New York Times. Don't forget to bring in your class rules and procedures packet signed by you and your parent by tomorrow.
8th: Yesterday was a great class! I could see it in your faces that you were interested in the video and your enthusiasm was supported by your responses to the questions. Nice job. Today in class we are going to learn how to use a program called Inspiration which is used for organizing information. The information that we are going to be organizing today will be about Super Bowl XLII. We will eventually be using it to brainstorm ideas for our websites before we build them. If you don't have any ideas for your company yet you should be giving it serious thought. Monday we will begin putting down a blueprint for the site and you will need your business selected for that. If you haven't decided what you are going to do by the end of class tomorrow you will have homework this weekend.
